    Chalhoub group's faces debuts a proprietary generative ai engine that drives 2.5x higher conversions and reshapes digital beauty retail in the middle east

By combining advanced AI with the Group’s 70 years of regional expertise and FACES’ trusted legacy in beauty, Layla AI brings the warmth and professionalism of in-store consultants into the digital world, offering hyper-personalised recommendations across skincare, makeup, fragrance, and haircare. 

Unlike generic chatbots, Layla AI learns and adapts with every conversation, capturing evolving preferences, seasonal needs, and beauty trends. Its fluency across Arabic dialects, including Arabizi, fosters trust and relatability that are essential to customer engagement in the Middle East. 

Since its launch, Layla AI has significantly enhanced customer engagement, achieving 2.5× higher conversion rates than non-AI sessions. Users spend on average 7.4 minutes longer per browsing session and explore 27% more products. The platform shows strong cultural and linguistic alignment, with 79% of interactions occurring in Arabic and 85% of KSA users engaging, supported by Layla AI’s ability to understand all Arabic dialects Beyond customer-facing benefits, Layla AI acts like a business intelligence engine, generating real-time data on evolving preferences and unmet needs, enabling data-driven assortment, pricing, and campaign strategies.
